Christopher Long is a highly accomplished and respected President and CEO, with extensive experience in government and public affairs consulting. He currently leads Washington Resource Associates (WRA), a prominent firm specializing in policy strategy, planning, education, and collaboration, as well as the Center for Public Policy Innovation (CPPI), a not-for-profit think tank focused on information technology and innovation policy.
Mr. Long is widely recognized for his ability to bring together diverse stakeholders for meaningful collaboration on complex policy issues, and has founded several successful forums to promote policy education and collaboration. He is the founder of the Digital Dialogue Forum, a technology roundtable facilitating collaboration between the tech industry, Congress, and the Administration, and the Homeland Security Dialogue Forum, which fosters collaboration and produces unique policy forums between the public and private sectors to address critical homeland security issues.
Throughout his career, Mr. Long has also played a leading role in building successful partnerships for policy education and collaboration, forging close relationships with federal, state, and local officials. He assembled a powerful grassroots network of community leaders and organizations across America, helping deliver free online tax assistance to millions of lower and moderate-income Americans.
As a resident of Virginia, Mr. Long has worked with state leaders on technology policy matters, serving as Chairman of the Technology Policy Transition Committee for former Governor Tim Kaine and as a member of the Advisory Committee for the General Assembly’s Joint Committee on Technology and Science.
He is a founding member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council Political Action Committee (NVTC TECHPAC) and served on the TECHPAC Board of Directors for many years. Since July 2021, Mr. Long has served on the Board of Directors of the VIrginia Innovation Partnership Authority, the state agency charged with accelerating innovation, imagination, and the next generation of technology and technology companies in Virginia.
