Roundtable Luncheon with Mr. Blas Nuñez-Neto, Acting Assistant Secretary, Border and Immigration Policy, DHS

Join the Homeland Security & Defense Forum on June 14th for an in-person roundtable luncheon with Mr. Blas Nuñez-Neto, Acting Assistant Secretary for Border and Immigration Policy and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Chief Operating Office at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The discussion will highlight border and immigration priorities for DHS, coordination between DHS HQ and Customs and Border Protection on policy, and technology requirements to support personnel on the frontlines and facilitate lawful immigration. Mr. Blas Nuñez-Neto has been serving as the Acting Assistant Secretary for Border and Immigration Policy since October 1, 2021. His permanent role is the Chief Operating Officer at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which he has served since March 2021.  He is also concurrently serving as the Vice Chair for the Secretary of Homeland Security’s Southwest Border Taskforce. Previously, Mr. Nuñez-Neto served at DHS as an Advisor to CBP Commissioner Gil Kerlikowske from January 12, 2015 to January 16, 2017.
