As vice president of Peraton’s Homeland Security Business Unit, Mark Olson is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market account growth strategies and delivering program performance excellence to resolve his customers’ most pressing IT needs in support of their mission requirements.
Mark has 20 years of experience in the IT industry where he has spent over 15 years in direct support of the US federal sector including the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense and multiple Federal Healthcare agencies. He has deep knowledge and experience in organizational and profit & loss (P&L) management, along with a proven track record in growing business portfolios securing more than $3 billion in contract awards throughout his career.
Mark has also served as group CFO at DXC Technology in the US public sector Defense and Federal Healthcare segments responsible for over $1B in P&L oversight. As group CFO, he guided both business segments through the merger and creation of Perspecta where he played a leading role in the integration efforts.
Prior to 2015, Mark spent nearly three years as director of finance at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Europe supporting both public sector and private sector segments, where he was instrumental in operationally stabilizing and growing strategic programs. He also drove organizational transformation in support of the establishment of Finance Centers of Excellence for the European region.
During the prior 12 years, he held various other corporate positions of increasing responsibility at Electronic Data Systems and Hewlett Packard, where he gained valuable experience in operational delivery, financial P&L management, business development and merger and acquisition integration.
Mark has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Economics from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
