Kevin Cox, Deputy CIO, Federal Emergency Management Agency (pending agency approval)

Kevin Cox serves as the Deputy CIO (DCIO) for Operations and Infrastructure for FEMA. Before joining FEMA, Mr. Cox served as the DCIO for the Department of Justice. While there, he oversaw all mission and functional activities required to support the Office of the CIO (OCIO), including service delivery, security, finance and budget, and policy.

Prior to his role at the Department of Justice, Mr. Cox served as Program Manager for the federal Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). He also served previously as the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the Department of Justice (DOJ).

He holds Master of Arts degrees from West Virginia University and the University of Chicago.
