Henry Laxdal, Deputy Executive Director, Program Management Office Directorate, U.S. Border Patrol

Henry N. Laxdal is the Deputy Executive Director (DXD) of the Program Management Office Directorate (PMOD) at U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) Headquarters (HQ) in Washington, D.C. DXD Laxdal oversees PMOD acquisition management activities and is responsible for acquiring and delivering leading edge technology and infrastructure in support of USBP operational requirements.

Previously, he served as the Division Chief in the Policy and Compliance Division within the Strategic Planning and Analysis Directorate, USBP HQ. In this position he led the facilitation of national policy and was the principal advisor for audits, inspections, and investigations of internal and external government oversight entities.

DXD Laxdal is a graduate of the Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program and completed his developmental assignment as an Executive Director with the Office of Acquisition, Enterprise Services, U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He was responsible for the Acquisition Governance and Oversight and Acquisition Support directorates. He is also a graduate of the CBP Leadership Institute at the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.

In 2019, DXD Laxdal served as the Patrol Agent in Charge (PAIC) of El Cajon Station, San Diego Sector. In this role he provided senior leadership for a diverse team of more than 325 employees responsible for securing 10 miles of international border. He directed all operational and administrative decisions including the formulation, prioritization, and execution of a complex operating budget totaling more than $1.5 million.

In 2016, DXD Laxdal served as the PAIC of Sault Ste. Marie Station, Detroit Sector. There, he led a diverse team of 60 employees including law enforcement and professional staff. He developed and executed complex law enforcement operations spanning 35 counties, more than 21,000 square miles, and 535 linear miles of water border. He served as the primary agency representative for northern Michigan where he focused his efforts on developing and maintaining coalitions of support to accomplish the national security mission. In 2015, he served as the Deputy PAIC of Sault Ste. Marie Station.

DXD Laxdal holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Saint Leo University and a Master of Arts degree in Strategic Security Studies from the National Defense University. He also holds a War College Diploma in International Security and Combatting Terrorism from the College of International Security Affairs.

Henry is happily married to Lauren and together they have two children, Gavin and Bella.
