Dina Thompson, Assistant Administrator and Head of Contracting Authority, Transportation Security Administration

Ms. Thompson serves as a senior acquisition management official and the Head of the Contracting Activity. She provides executive leadership and senior technical expertise on matters involving procurements and other transaction agreements. Her responsibilities have agency-wide impact and influence, which include providing innovative and expert leadership in establishing and implementing comprehensive procurement strategies in accordance with applicable policies, procedures,
laws, and directives.

Prior to joining TSA, Ms. Thompson spent 28 years supporting the Warfighter in various civilian, acquisition and leadership positions in the U.S. Army.

Ms. Thompson’s assignments include:

Ms. Thompson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Averett University and a Master of Science Degree in Contract Management from the Naval Postgraduate School. She serves on the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) Board of Advisors, is an NCMA Certified Professional Contracts Manager, and an American Council for Technology – Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) Fellow. Ms. Thompson is both Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) and Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III certified in Contracting.
