Mr. John P. Woods currently serves as the Vice President and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Client Executive for CACI International, Inc. As the DHS Client Executive Mr. Woods coordinates CACI’s presence across the Homeland Security marketplace with strategic focus on the capabilities of the eleven business groups within CACI. Building on an existing portfolio of work, Mr. Woods provides a leadership role in formulating and executing the overall strategy and plan for mission related solutions.
Mr. Woods came to CACI after a 29-year law enforcement career and several years in other corporate DHS mission focused endeavors. Much of that time focused on Immigration enforcement, border security, and tactical national security initiatives and programs. Mr. Woods’ law enforcement career concluded as Assistant Director for U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) where he oversaw Homeland Security Investigations’ investigative, regulatory, and technological programs targeting transnational national security threats. Mr. Woods’ role provided strategic leadership in national security, immigration control, border security, and related policy development. During the course of his career, Mr. Woods was the recipient of three INS Commissioner’s awards. Additionally, Mr. Woods was a recipient of an FBI Director’s award in 1994 and in 2000 the U.S. Attorney General Meritorious Award.
